I believe it is important for us to make a smooth transition from our current 19th century energy concepts to the 21st century and beyond. I am committed to incentivizing the adoption of new technologies for long term reductions in energy costs, regardless of individual beliefs on climate change. Together, we can work towards a cleaner and more sustainable future for our country.
HEALTHCARE
The business of medicine is out of control. Our health and well-being have taken the back seat to corporate profits. We have the worst health outcomes per dollar spent, and the goal appears to be more about keeping us hooked than anything else. It's time to re imagine our healthcare system and create one that works for everyone. We pretend to be the champions of human rights, but we live in a society that treats health as a privilege.
ANTI-WAR, EVERY WAR
It's time to get out of the mentality of the 20th Century. We do not need to dominate the globe, and we need to recognize that our attempts to do so are both disrespectful and dangerous. We are a nation among nations, not above.
It is not in our best interest to prop up brutal regimes, nor is it in our interest to fund conflicts against our business competitors. While military readiness is important, global dominance is foolish and impossible. It is a waste of both lives and money to try, and we have long since abandoned even the appearance of the moral high ground.
